Hub St Ives reopened in April 2019 with a brand new look

The home of Hubbox, Hub St Ives, has undergone its biggest change since its opening in 2003, with a HUGE refurbishment bringing in a fresh nautical vibe to suit its location.

Thanks to a truly Cornish collaboration the build itself was achieved in record time – with the builders, local artists, designers & staff pulling out the stocks & the walls to get the site open in just three weeks. Curing the town of its burger cravings, just in time for Easter.

The legendary two storey building, with its panoramic views of the bay, has smashed through to the ground floor of the building next door, creating a new open dining area complete with a terrace. Flipping the original layout on its head, the bar is now situated on the left as you walk into the door, providing drinkers & diners with plenty of room for a good old Hub style boogie!

Situated in the heart of the town, Hub is a well established feature on the harbour front and an essential stop off for great coffee, fabulous cakes and amazing food. In the evening we are the ideal place for fantastic burgers, sipping cocktails or sampling one of our local and international craft beers. Sit back and watch the world go by. We have a modern menu of really delicious burgers made in house from aged Cornish rare breed beef, a range of local seafood and seasonal specials. Our hot dogs are New York style but produced in the UK using 100% free range pork, oak smoked and seasoned with paprika, nutmeg & black pepper. Our burger and hot dog buns are produced by artisan ‘Baker Tom’ and delivered fresh everyday.

As you can see our food is something we are fiercely proud of.

Hub St Ives opened in April 2003

For the last 15 years, Hub St Ives and Hubbox has been providing our customers with the best Cornish bar & grill experience across the West Country. We are always developing our menu and looking for new ways to make use of the rich source of local produce we have available in the Southwest.

From traditionally farmed, grass-fed moorland cattle, to fresh fish caught on day boats, small cottage industries that make craft beer and cheeses, or fruit and veg supplied by Cornish growers.

These relationships with our local producers are the heartbeat of our business. Food is a sensory trigger that can evoke happy memories. As Hubbox has grown up so have our loyal customers. We both understand that each visit to a Hubbox should be a celebration of the social way of life we enjoy in Cornwall.

To eat, drink and hang out with friends and family in a cool, relaxed environment is the essence of life.

“If 80’s music has taught me anything, it’s that the only way is up. As we operate in a fast-growing and dynamic industry, not only is it our aim to be recognised as great restaurants, we also want to be recognised as a great employer too.”
